Make the same operation as the previous PHASE:
PHASE 3: measure the WAIST (around middle of foot where tape naturally falls). (Photo 3)
PHASE 4: measure the INSTEP (where back of heel meets bottom around instep). (Photo 4)
PHASE 5: in case of a boot, measure leg circumference (ANKLE) 11 cm up from floor. (Photo 5)
Some Advices: it would be better if you take the measurements in the evening, when the feet are dilated (tell us if there is a big difference between the measurements taken in the morning and the measurements in the evening).
In case of hammer toes or other enlarged areas, please indicate on tracing on the SOLE SKETCH.
Tell us if you have flat or a cavum foot.
Tell us if you have a standard , a perpendicular or a protruding heel (The heel in the Picture 1 is a standard heel). Note on OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION.
SOLE SKETCH: Standing up, trace patient foot with thin marker keeping vertical at all times. (PHASE 1)
Mark middle of 1st and 5th toe joints where they attach to the foot.
