l Riccio also creates accessories in leather for informal wear, horse riding, hunting to compliment classical and sporty garments, travelling bags, briefcases, accessories for the office, shoes and boots made to measure, gun cases, gentlemen’s' spats and gaiters made with these resistant materials, using traditional methods of workmanship to enhance their naturalness. The leathers used have all been carefully selected, such as the calf which has been tanned using vegetable products such as bark and peel, the calf which has been tanned and slowly greased and used in reverse like chamois, known as "vacchetta toscana", the calf tanned using the French and English method for making classical footwear, and also selected skins like crocodile, alligator, ostrich, shark, python etc., all of which give Il Riccio that special opportunity to produce and offer its clients a unique, continuous and exclusive service. All the workmanship necessary for the creation and production, which include the design of patterns, the selection and cutting of skins, the assembling of the vamps, the stitching, using linen thread or fine hemp, through to the finished article, are all produced in this workshop.
